Spotlight on Customer Service
Open for Business Program
The City’s Planning and Development Department has launched a new initiative, the Open for Business Program, designed to help small business entrepreneurs navigate the complicated process of starting a new business. Many new entrepreneurs have never had their own business before, and get caught by surprise at some of the requirements and costs attached to opening a new business. An assistance team will work with new business owners to help them maneuver zoning and permitting issues, and to ensure the business location they're looking at is going to work for them before they get moved in.
