The Rock Hill Outdoor Center is a dynamic collection of recreation amenities located at the new Riverwalk community! When completed, these amenities will add approximately 250 acres of public recreation space to the City of Rock Hill’s current parks inventory. Amenities at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center will include cycling venues, athletic fields, parks, gardens, and green space. See below for a short description of the existing amenities.
Piedmont Medical Center Trail
The Piedmont Medical Center Trail opened in July 2010 and is available year-round, offering beautiful views of the Catawba River. The trail is 10 ft wide and it is a 2 ¼ mile in and 2 ¼ mile back out. Constrution is underway on a trail connector, that will connect the Piedmont Medical Center Trail to the River Park Trail. The Giordana Velodrome opened March 2012 and since its opening, it has hosted national and UCI caliber events. Not only does the facility host national events, it also offers year-round programs for cyclist of all stages and ages, providing equipment and instructions.

Rock Hill Outdoor Center Greens

Novant Health BMX Supercross Track
The Novant Health BMX Supercross Track opened August 2014, as another addition to the Rock Hill cycling community. Since its opening, the facilty has hosted the 2014 USA BMX Gold East Regional Championship and is scheduled to host the 2015 BMX Carolina Nationals, the 2015 USA Cycling National BMX Championships, the 2015 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Finals and the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships. Other than being recognized on a national and world caliber, the facilty also host local races and instructional programs for new and experienced riders.
