The Zoning Board of Appeals holds public hearings for requests involving
Special Exceptions to the Zoning Ordinance, variances from the Zoning Ordinance,
and upon rare occasion, appeals from staff interpretations of the Zoning
Ordinance regarding requirements unrelated to historic preservation.
The next scheduled public hearing of the Zoning Board of Appeals will take
place on Tuesday, February 20, at 6:00 pm in City Council Chambers at City
Johnston Street). In the event the meeting is to be re-scheduled, the
hearing will take place on Tuesday, February 27, and notice of such will be
posted at City Hall.
Request: Special exception for wrecker use and reduction in required separation, and variance from required rear landscaping buffer. The property is zoned General Commercial (GC) but is in the process of being rezoned to Industry General (IG).
