We made a valuable Crime Mapping Tool available on the department's website... www.RockHillPD.com.  The tool will be useful for citizens to access information regarding crime in their City as well as, their neighborhoods, school zones or Patrol Zones.  A number of options are available from the mapping tool that will assist you in the selection of data that is relative to a particular situation.   Please use the too often and visit our website on a regular basis to learn about new things the department is doing to assist the Citizens of Rock Hill.

You will find the link to the Crime Map in the menu from the Home Page by clicking the Crime Map link as indicated in the image below:

 The Mapping Tool should look like the following, once the web page loads.  Depending on the speed of your internet connect, it could take a few moments to load.

The mapping tool does not provide addresses of crime locations.  There are a number

or reasons why the addresses are not available; many of which are geo-coding errors due to mis-reported addresses, block numbers and etc.  Providing the information this way alleviates considerable confusion.  You will be able to determine the general area that a crime occurred based on the BUFFER DISTANCE criteria that you used in searching the crime data.
