The primary responsibility of Long Range Planning is to maintain and update the City's Comprehensive Plan, as well as research and incorporate effective policies that will ensure high quality growth and development for the City of Rock Hill, and it's immediate surrounding area in the future.
This involves studying and re-evaluating goals, policies, and strategies as directed by City Council, the City Manager, and the Planning Commission.
The unincorporated Urban Services Area is generally located just outside the existing City limits and represents the area Rock Hill could potentially annex and/or provide urban services to over the next 20-25 years.
