During the winter months the Red Cross faces its lowest blood supplies. More people are traveling and vacationing and more accidents happen. The Red Cross depends on the generosity of volunteer blood donors to ensure that a safe supply of blood is on hand for hospitals and patients. As we celebrate the holiday season with our families and loved ones, remember that the need for blood knows no season.
Please contact your departmental blood drive representative to schedule a time to donate blood or contact Lee Brown at 803/325-2570 or by email at lbrown@cityofrockhill.com. Donors should remember to eat, drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine on the day of the blood drive. Also, please bring a photo ID or your Red Cross blood donor card.
