New Rider Orientation is a 1 hour on track session for pedal bike riders with coaches showing a maximum of 8 riders how to get through the obstacles on track.
This session is not a program to teach children how to ride a bike.
Riders will not be allowed to participate if they are not able to:
1) Pedal while standing
2) Coast while standing on the pedals
3) Bring their bicycle to a complete stop using the bicycle's brakes (not dragging feet).
A full face helmet, long sleeve shirt and pants (or knee pads and elbow pads) are required to ride on the BMX race track. Gloves are recommended.
Riders can bring their own bike and full face helmet or rent a BMX Race Bike and Full Face BMX Race Helmet for $10 for the session.
The County Council recently voted to eliminate the equalized recreation fee to the City of Rock Hill. This fee has been in place for 20 years and allows individuals living outside the City to pay the same rate as those living inside the City. With the County Council’s decision to no longer provide this fee, the cost for you to participate this year is as follows:
City Resident Fee - Free
Non-City Resident Fee - $10
Online Registration opens on the preceding Sunday at 9 AM.
