Cherry Road Lane Closures Due to Tree Maintenance

Post Date:09/20/2019 3:38 PM

Lane closures will be in effect starting Monday, September 23, 2019 for crews to prune trees planted in street right-of-way along Cherry Road. The work will start at Faith Blvd (near PetSmart) and proceed south toward I-77 in an effort not to impede the York County Pennies for Progress project happening further down Cherry Road. Signage, cones and an arrow board will be used to create a safe work zone in the travel lane closest to the trees. Please use caution when traveling in this area as the lane closure will shift as the work progresses. Lane closures will be in effect Monday through Friday, 9 AM-4 PM during the week of September 23.

The full project includes tree maintenance spanning Cherry Road from Faith Blvd/Herrons Ferry Rd to Cherry Park, starting with the first phase September 23-27 and continuing October 7-11 and October 22-November 1. The tree work will help to improve vehicular clearances, sight visibility, and to promote tree structure and health.
