    Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation

    The purpose of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation is to further economic development in the City of Rock Hill; to promote and assist in the growth and development of business concerns, including small business concerns within the City of Rock Hill; to promote and assist in the development of residential housing in the City of Rock Hill; and to engage in those activities which are in furtherance of, or related to, the purposes herein stated. The principal objective of the Corporation shall be to benefit the City economically by fostering increased employment opportunities and by expansion of business and industry; thereby, lessening the burdens of government and combating community deterioration.

Rock Hill is ideally located on the I-77 corridor between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. Interstate 85, just north of York County, is an important link to Raleigh, Durham and Greensboro, North Carolina and to Atlanta, Georgia. A planned beltway connecting I-85 to I-77 will provide Rock Hill with superb transportation routes throughout the Charlotte metro region.

 

Rock Hill Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District Maps

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) is a tool for financing municipally owned public improvements such as streets, sidewalks, utilities, landscaping, parks, public buildings, transit facilities, etc. within a designated redevelopment area. The City of Rock Hill has established several TIF districts. Within these TIF Districts, any incremental or new tax revenues are dedicated to fund public improvements serving the designated redevelopment area.
