The Community Toolshed is a program that allows residents, neighborhood associations and community organizations to borrow tools and equipment at no charge, with proper proof of residency, to beautify and maintain their communities. The program is administered by the Neighborhood Empowerment division of Neighborhood Services.

Goals

• Promote community engagement.
• Empower residents and organizations to maintain their residences and neighborhoods.
• Serve as a resource for residents who are in violation of International Property Maintenance Code.
• Reduce annual cost of enforcement of property violations.

How does the program work?

City of Rock Hill residents can borrow tools or equipment for up to 3 days.

After staff confirms your reservation, tools can be picked up at 150 Johnston Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730. 

All tools must be cleaned and returned to our office by the assigned due date.
