Inside Rock Hill
Inside Rock Hill (IRH) is a 9-week civics course offered to residents of the City of Rock Hill. This course allows residents to view the City from the inside. Residents are provided with an in-depth understanding of how the city operates, enabling them to learn how to better access City services.
Inside Rock Hill graduated its first class in Spring 2004. Since that time, over 900 residents have graduated from the program and have become ambassadors for the City and its initiatives. Many of our graduates remain active in city activities by serving on Boards and Commissions and participating in community initiatives. Some graduates have served on the Rock Hill City Council, County Council, the Rock Hill School District Board of Trustees, and the SC House of Representatives.
The course is offered during the Spring and Fall and spaces are limited.

Alumni Committees
As a way of keeping Inside Rock Hill Alumni engaged, we have formed three committees that work continuously to educate, communicate and inform our alumni of the constant and exciting changes that are taking place in the City.
Alumni Engagement Committee
The committee works to engage alumni by sponsoring educational and social activities throughout the year. This committee is also responsible for sharing valuable information for the monthly alumni newsletter and organizing alumni networking opportunities.
Reunion Committee
This Committee plans and coordinates the annual gathering of the alumni for a reunion. The event is a fun-filled event and is an opportunity for alumni to connect and share the IRH experience with family members and friends. The IRH Reunion is usually scheduled for the first Thursday in August.
Volunteer Committee
Since many of the IRH graduates leave the course even more civic-minded and anxious to get involved, this Committee works to provide volunteer opportunities for our alumni to get involved locally. They are responsible for creating an alumni volunteer project and organizing volunteer days for our alumni to make an impact in Rock Hill.
