Program Philosophy & Overview
The Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department strives to offer quality programs that emphasizes participation, skill development, sportsmanship, and fun in a whole environment. PRT is also dedicated to providing a safe environment for those participating in youth sports programs run by the City. Find out more about our Safety Initiatives.
Youth Football is offered in the fall for ages 7-10. Games are held at Cherry Park on weekdays and Saturdays. The practice schedule and practice location is coordinated by each team’s Booster Club. The program fee includes mandatory accident insurance, which remains in effect for all city-sponsored athletic activities within that calendar year.

Registration typically begins at the beginning of August and runs for 3 or 4 weeks. A Registration Brochure with program details and registration form will be posted to this website when it becomes available mid-July. The registration fee includes mandatory accident insurance, which remains in effect for all City-sponsored athletic activities within that calendar year. Players are responsible for their own equipment which includes: helmet, mouth piece, pads and pants. Cleated shoes are recommended. To register, you may complete the form online, or you can come to one of several PRT locations to sign up. First time participants will need to present a copy of a birth certificate to register. Team Formation/Boundary Requirements
A player plays at the school he/she attends. School areas are used as boundaries; however, Rock Hill School District #3 is not affiliated with Rock Hill PRT Youth Football. PRT may place a player(s) on a different team provided the following: The player’s school does not field enough players for a team. The player’s school/team has already reached the maximum roster limit of 25 players.First Practice
After registering with PRT, parents should contact the coach to find out the practice schedule for their team. Only registered participants will be permitted to practice.
Jamboree & Team Photos
At the beginning of the season, a Jamboree is held where all teams will gather and play another team in a shortened scrimmage game. Team and individual photos may be taken during the Jamboree. Uniforms will be given out at Jamboree, if not already given out at a practice. The Jamboree date will be listed in the Registration Brochure. Your coach will let you know what time your team will participate in the Jamboree.

Weather Cancellation Policy
Decisions to cancel games will be based on current weather conditions and/or field conditions. Normally, games will not be cancelled until near the scheduled starting time. As soon as games are canceled, the decision will be posted on the weather line. If PRT determines that weather and/or field conditions necessitate the cancellation of practices, the decision will be posted on the weather line. However, a coach may decide to cancel a practice due to weather independently of PRT. If this is the case, the coach will contact players to let them know. Football Weather Line: 803-325-2699.
Code of Ethics
All parents and/or legal guardians will be required to sign a Parents Code of Ethics and School Enrollment Declaration to verify what school his or her child attends. Falsifying enrollment information will result in forfeiture of all games, elimination from playoff participation and/or coach suspension. No child may compete/participate in any games until his or her parent has completed the School Enrollment Declaration.Coach or Sponsor a Team
