When to use this process

Use this process if you need to verify what a property is zoned and whether that zoning district allows a specific land use. We will provide a zoning verification letter in response.

If you need any of the following, also submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request: 

• Code violations on the property (building code or zoning)
• Copies of records such as certificates of occupancy or permits

Apply

1. Apply Online using the button above.
   • Click on “New Applications"
   • Click on "Development Plan Review"
   • Click on "Zoning Applications"
   • Select "Zoning Verification Letter" and follow the prompts from there
2. We will email you an invoice for the application fee of $25 per parcel, which will be paid through our online portal. Beware of scammers trying to obtain false payment through wire transfer or other mechanisms.
3. City staff will review your request within about 3 business days.
4. We will send the letter to you by email unless you request a different delivery method.
